One pundit stood alone tipping a St Mirren cup win last night- despite the sniggering, giggles and mocking from his colleagues.
Yesterday on the PLZ show Alan Rough weighed things up, looked at one team on a bit of form and another one overhyped and lacking substance before tipping St Mirren to end the cup hopes of Mister Gerrard.
What a result for St Mirren!!! Fantastic display and very well deserved. Some outstanding individual performances from the Buddies. And well done to the big legend that is Alan Rough who tipped them to win today to much sniggering from the boys @Charlie26Adam @PeterMsport ?? ?

Underneath the spin and hype things haven’t been so smooth at Ibrox recently despite an incredible run of facing opponents with players forced into self-isolation.
Dundee United were down a few, likewise Falkirk in the previous round of the League Cup while Benfica reserves had popped five past the Iron Curtain defence of world football.
Before Saturday’s 2-1 win at Tannadice Gerrard’s side had lost just three goals in the SPFL- last night they lost the same amount in 90 minutes.
A St Mirren side put together on a show string showed that Gerrard’s lot aren’t invincible, underneath the media hype are the same failings as last season with Kemar Roofe the only genuine addition to the starting XI. Cedric Itten and Ianis Hagi look as useful as Flo Kamberi and Andy Halliday.
Now there is a little question over Gerrard’s stars. Last season they collapsed in January after a jolly to Dubai, perhaps the pressures of not being able to party and celebrate birthdays this year is about to take its toll.
