Marian Shved scored an 83rd minute winner for Mechelen tonight at home to Mouscron as he ended a troubled year on a high.
The winger managed just three substitute appearances for Celtic last season before being shipped out on loan to the Belgian side in the summer.
After splashing out £2m to Karpaty Lviv in January 2019 it looked very much like another failed project but after experiencing troubles at Mechelen the 24-year-old finally made his mark on the pitch.
83′ SHVED RAKET! C’mon boys!

Before tonight Shved had made just three substitute appearances for Mechelen with coach Wouter Vrancken slamming his attitude suggesting that he would be as well spending his time playing billiards.
After 61 minutes tonight the ‘billiards’ player was sent on against Mouscron with the match tied at 1-1, in the 83rd minute he popped up with the winner to give Mechelen their first win in six outings.
The Mechelen website reported:
The Ukrainian controlled a cross in the box, turned free from his man and hit the ball against the ropes (net).
Einde!
