Anthony Joseph has confirmed the breaking news last night that Neil Lennon will continue as Celtic manager.
Whether that is due to belief in the Irishman from the Celtic hierarchy or their inability to attract a replacement is up for debate.
Joseph has been on the Celtic beat for Sky Sports News since the summer with a brief on transfer matters that has extended into a season that almost no-one would have anticipated.
On December 1 Celtic are out of the Champions League, Europa League and Betfred Cup and trail by 11 points in the SPFL. Thursday’s clash with AC Milan in the San Siro isn’t one for fans to look forward to.
BREAKING: Neil Lennon still has the backing of the Celtic hierarchy and will continue as manager, after a series of “positive” Zoom calls throughout the day.
They were locked in discussions on his and the club’s future.
He took training today and will prepare team for Milan.

Sky Sports had a camera crew outside of Lennoxtown yesterday in anticipation of movement on the managerial front, that shot of Peter Lawwell arriving or the final departure of Lennon but they ended up spending most of the day explaining heightened security around the Training Centre.
Speculation from fans is likely to turn to anger today, tomorrow Lennon is expected to face the media to preview the dead rubber match against AC Milan.
