Shoppers at a Sports Direct store listened in to the sounds of the Wolfe Tones blaring over the Public Address system.

‘Come out you Black and Tans’ could be heard as the store re-opened with most of west/central Scotland moving into Tier 3.

The Irish rebel band have been popular with Celtic fans down the years, in the early nineties they were invited into Celtic Park to produce a video for The Celtic Symphony.

Sports Direct have been involved in a long running dispute with the club from Ibrox after striking a merchandising and retail deal with Charles Green when the tribute act was launched in 2012.

Five years later Dave King paid £3m to  set up a new deal with Sports Direct but a fresh dispute broke out when the club set up deals with Hummel and Elite while denying Sports Direct matching rights.

The Ibrox club are currently paying the legal costs of Sports Direct with the court told that the final pay out will run to ‘many millions of pounds’.
