Sutton calls on Celtic chief to come out of hiding

Chris Sutton has urged Peter Lawwell to stop hiding from the Celtic support.

Virtually nothing has been heard directly from the Celtic Chief Executive this season but Keith Jackson at the Daily Record and Jim White on talkSPORT seem to have access to Celtic sources with no sign of the club taking either view to task.

A policy of briefing seems to be underway while Social Media platforms, Celtic TV and the club website are neglected to communicate with fans.

Since losing to Ross County, the fourth successive home defeat, nothing has been heard on the record from the club other than a statement alleging that players were targeted by missiles by angry fans.

Three cup exits before the end of November has raised concerns that the season is on the brink of collapsing but 50,000 Season Ticket holders have heard virtually nothing from the CEO.

The Record reports Sutton saying:

Clarification is what is needed at this moment in time because the Celtic fans are all up in the air. Maybe Neil is doing stuff behind the scenes and Peter Lawwell can see a method and a plan. Why not come out and tell us?

You have to tell us why you are backing Neil. I think that’s a huge issue.  It looks as though they are being indecisive. If they believe in Neil, come out and say so

Lennon is expected to face the media tomorrow to preview Celtic’s Europa League tie against AC Milan.
