Neil Lennon managed to convince the Celtic hierarchy that he is the man to lead the club following a series of positive Zoom calls on Monday according to Sky Sports.

Zoom conference calls seem to be a growing part of managerial life at Celtic with Lennon confirming supportive Zoom calls on Friday on the back of the defeat from Sparta Prague.

Supporters have grown increasingly concerned about the leadership of the club, after two wins in 10 matches it seems that the hierarchy can be convinced by Zoom calls either side of a humiliating 2-0 defeat from Ross County- the fourth home defeat on the bounce and the fifth before the end of November.

At 7.30am a report from Anthony Joseph on Sky Sports website revealed:

Sky Sports News understands the board continue to back their under-fire boss, after their League Cup exit to Ross County led to violent protests outside Celtic Park.

The report then continued by focussing on what they described as ‘scary and horrifying’ scenes outside the stadium from angry fans.

After his Zoom calls with board members Lennon will face the media tomorrow to preview the Europa League tie against AC Milan on Thursday.

Earlier in this run there was till a significant number of supporters backing Lennon to turn things around but with the run of form running into double figures his approval rating has dwindled sharply.
