Two changes- Michael Stewart names his Celtic side to face Kilmarnock

Michael Stewart will make just two changes to the Celtic side that played for the bulk of the 3-2 win over Lille when the hoops face Kilmarnock tomorrow.

The team will be announced at around 1.45pm with Celtic fans anxious to see who Neil Lennon selects after the most impressive performance of the season.

Euan Henderson replaced Jeremie Frimpong midway through the first half with Kris Ajer’s switch to right-back working well as Celtic delivered their first Europa League win of a miserable campaign.

Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull caught they eye with Stewart explaining the changes he’d make to Sun readers- with Scott Brown left on the sidelines:

I don’t see the same 11 starting tomorrow and would expect Christie and Odsonne Edouard to return. But I would go with Conor Hazard in goal, who looks the part, and I’d have Kristoffer Ajer at right-back.

Henderson dropping out for Christie and Edouard replacing Patryk Klimala would be the extent of the changes most fans would go with although there is a decent case for retaining Henderson.

Hazard ahead of Scott Bain and Vasilis Barkas would be a big decision but based on Thursday night’s team performance and a more organised look at the back it would probably be a bigger risk denying the 22-year-old Irishman his SPFL Premiership debut.

STEWART’S CELTIC SIDE:

Hazard; Ajer, Duffy, Jullien, Laxalt; Turnbull, Soro, McGregor; Christie, Edouard, Elyounoussi
