Marian Shved was mobbed by team-mates as he scored a late winner for Mechelen at home to Mouscron last night.
The winger was thrown on as a 61st minute substitute, 20 minutes later he showed composure and nerve to cushion a cross then drive a right foot shot home from 12 yards out.
Mechelen have been struggling down towards the bottom of the table but last night’s win lifts them into a more healthy 13th place.

It was Shved’s fifth appearance off the bench this season with Mechelen having a mini-break before their next match against Antwerp on January 10.
Recently the Mechelen coach slammed the attitude of his on-loan winger, claiming that he’d be better off spending time playing billiards but last night’s goal suggests that Shved could be playing his way back into favour.
The 23-year-old is under contract with Celtic until 2023. In three brief appearances for Celtic Shved scored one goal, away to Nomme Kalju in a Champions League qualifier in July 2019.
