Scott Brown was back in the Celtic side at Hampden today- and in the thick of the action against Hearts.
Questions have increasingly been asked about his waning influence on team-mates and in matches but there is no doubt that he maintains the faith and backing of his manager.
With the first period of extra-time almost over Brown took on the unusual role of goal-maker when his close range header was parried by Craig Gordon with Leigh Griffiths netting the rebound.

Afterwards Brown screamed at the grounded Christophe Berra then picked out Steven Naismith as he made his way back to the half way line. At the interval the skipper was replaced by Ismaila Soro.
From the side-lines Brown watched Celtic edge the penalty shoot-out 4-3 before becoming the first man in Scottish football to lift the Scottish Cup for the fourth year running as Celtic completed a Quadruple Treble.
