Celtic fans were far from pleased by the performance of Diego Laxalt in the 1-1 draw against Hibs.
On the 90th minute the on-loan AC Milan defender dashed into a reckless challenge that resulted in a free kick into the Celtic box.
When Stevie Mallon’s effort was knocked back across goal Conor Hazard failed to collect with Laxalt ending up behind the goal-line as Kevin Nisbet slammed home the equalised to complete a day of misery for Celtic.
Laxalt arrived in a blaze of publicity towards the end of the summer transfer window with expectations sky high for a Uruguayan defender from Serie A.
Greg Taylor stepped aside for the new bhoy who caught they eye pushing forward but equally left Celtic badly exposed at the back.
At Ibrox on January 2 he was 20 yards ahead of Nir Bitton when the Israeli was dragged out of position to foul Alfredo Morelos resulting in a red card.
Throughout tonight’s match he looked uncomfortable as Hibs pressed forward down the flanks. It almost seemed inevitable that a goal would follow after he conceded an avoidable free-kick, when the ball hit the net it sealed a grim day for Celtic and their on-loan ‘star’ from the San Siro.
Hibs are level in stoppage time! ??
Laxalt gives away a soft free kick before Hazard makes a mess of his attempted clearance, allowing Nisbet the chance to side-foot home!

Wouldn’t sign Laxalt he is overrated. Turnbull couldn’t get a game in our team for months – what a waste. We cannot defend and see out a game – criminal.

Laxalt dives in all the time. Gave away a silly foul trying to recover. Lose the 1st header, keeper collects freah air and then 3 men on the line not picking up 1 Hibs player……. schoolboy stuff

Yep….Why did Laxalt give away free..player going inside..!? Beggars belief

Laxalt was also marking the guy that scored, but left him and inexplicably ended up behind Duffy and McGregor on our goal line

To be honest mate i don’t look for fault in an attacking mid losing his man at a corner, Duffy & Laxalt were shocking at the goal and less said about the goalie the better!

Duffy and Laxalt should be shipped back to their clubs immediately. Absolutely hopeless.

I’m sorry I’d ship Laxalt back to Milan express delivery. Effort isn’t enough for the amount he’s costing us.

I can’t stand Diego Laxalt. Can’t believe so many people think he’s been decent. Another imposter.

Some of the players did well. McGregor Duffy Rogic and Laxalt can leave.
