Chris Sutton has warned that Celtic are far from certain of finishing in second place in the SPFL Premiership.

The hoops are currently sitting in second spot, five points above Aberdeen but facing a double header against in-form Livingston.

In the autumn Celtic went through a run of two wins in 13 matches with their return in 2021 just one point from six.

On and off the pitch things have been grim which was highlighted by Peter Lawwell’s midweek video message to supporters which failed to generate the unity that was intended.

After apologising for taking the decision to go to Dubai he claimed that the pandemic had effected Celtic more than any other club. Sutton took issue with that but claimed that the Celtic CEO was possibly meaning those words in a different way to how it has been interpreted by lower league clubs who had their season suspended on Monday.
