David Turnbull has admitted that Celtic players are trying to avoid Social media.

Four weeks ago pictures emerged of Scott Brown and Neil Lennon enjoying a poolside drink in Dubai- since then things have gone downhill rapidly.

One win in six matches with a dozen players self-isolating has lead to a nightmare month for the fans who’ve been locked out for 11 months.

Turnbull and Ismaila Soro have been spared from criticism but the former Motherwell man knows that Social Media isn’t the best place to spend any down time at the moment as he told The Sun:

All the boys have tried to stay off social media and tune out from that kind of stuff. Has confidence taken a battering? Yeah, I would say so. Personally it’s tough going into games at the moment.

It’s hard to keep yourselves going when you are going behind and you know you need to get it back. But we must get that out of our heads. We need to keep pushing and make sure we play better, simple as that.

Celtic don’t have much time to get over Saturday’s defeat from St Mirren with Kilmarnock in front of the Sky Sports cameras calling on Tuesday night with Neil Lennon expected to host a media conference on Monday.

After the St Mirren defeat Lennon made it clear that the problems of this season fell at the feet of the player with big changes expected in the starting XI at Rugby Park.
