There has been plenty of rumours about Celtic circulating in recent days, many of them involving Eddie Howe or Ross Desmond, son of Dermot.

I’ve dismissed them mostly as wishful thinking, while Peter Lawwell is active any chance of progressive change is certain to be blocked as a threat to the power of the CEO and his regular £3m plus salary come what may.

Tonight on the long running and popular Kerrydale Street Message Board there was a sign that there is substance to the rumours of change.

One poster, who rarely contributes but who has a great reputation for accurately predicting transfer activity, ventured onto a thread about the CEO.

Short and to the point, his words gave me the first signs of hope that folk inside Celtic are actually noting the state that the club is in with more than cosmetic change required.

I’m well aware that I’ve posted similar before, so no need to quote and tell me I was wrong in the past. Just passing on what I’ve heard recently and tonight.

Lennon is finished, strachan too, probably Kennedy. Lawwel is done, Ross Desmond has been about for about 3 years, does support Celtic and has a lot more interest than Dermot.

This might be happening sooner than originally planned after recent weeks

In the middle of the most distressing season in a decade the words above are worth holding onto, they are more than wishful thinking and not from an attention seeker flying a kite.

Celtic are at Livingston on Wednesday followed by a free weekend before Hamilton Accies next Wednesday. Change can’t come a minute too soon.
