Celtic fans were plunged into further despair as they watched a tame, lifeless 0-0 draw at home to Livingston.

It was a clean sheet and an end to Livi’s eight match winning run but no one watching was kidded on about another performance that was up there with the November visits from Ross County and St Johnstone.

Playing without a striker Celtic were outplayed during the first half but while Livingston pinged the ball across the Conor Hazard’s goal without truly testing the Celtic keeper.

Celtic were marginally better in the second half, Anthony Ralston sent in two decent crosses into the box, Armstrong Oko Flex should have connected with the second one but it was no surprise when the ball flew straight across the goalmouth.

Callum McGregor described it as ‘not good enough’ in a Celtic TV interview straight after the match, no one would disagree but equally there are no signs that change is on the way with Celtic due at Livingston for a re-match on Wednesday with 13 players back from self-isolation.
