Celtic’s season of misery continued as they dropped more points on a snow-covered sheet of plastic with 10 men left on the pitch for the final whistle 10.05 in Livingston.

Like so many matches this season the brief bursts of decent football were completely undermined by a fragile defence that looks capable of losing a goal from every set piece.

After 15 minutes Ciaron Brown headed the home side in front when he evaded Shane Duffy after the on-loan defender had given away another needless free kick.

Before the interval Celtic were in front with Moi Elyounoussi and Nir Bitton netting, for 15 minutes of the second half they looked capable of adding to their lead.

On the hour the Celtic defence was opened up down the right with Jay Emmanuel- Thomas directing the ball into the net.

Some bizarre substitutions saw Kris Ajer withdrawn while Duffy continued, in the 83rd minute Scott Brown was shown a straight red card just five minutes after replacing Ismaila Soro.

Five minutes of stoppage time were added but on a pitch thick with snow neither side was able to put the white ball in the net with the home side far happier with the result than their guests.
