Many Celtic fans are calling for the departure of Peter Lawwell after watching through the latest disaster in a season when the SPFL title went out of reach in the early days of January.
Neil Lennon is served up to the media before and after matches but it is the Chief Executive that appointed the manager, gave him a vote of confidence in November then promised a review in the new year as the season teetered on the brink.
The 20 days of 2021 have been completely disastrous. Four matches without a win, a derby defeat at Ibrox and an ill-judged trip to Dubai that has put the club in the media spotlight has been met with near silence from the boardroom.
Last Wednesday Lawwell provided a very laboured apology for the Dubai trip through the club’s in-house media but there was no mention of the disastrous results that appear to be tolerated with no sign of changes in store.
Lennon is on a 12 month rolling contract but there seems little confidence around that the man who appointed Lennon can be trusted to identify his successor.

Some of these players need chased too by the way as well as Lennon and Lawwell. No desire, no hunger. All that strong mentality we had since Brendan Rodgers was here has gone. Can’t remember the last time I saw such a collapse and a drop in standards from a football team

Seriously…I appreciate what NL has contributed to the club, but this has gone on too long. Completely unacceptable for Celtic FC. Lennon and Lawwell need to go.
