Celtic fans weren’t impressed or sympathetic when the club decided to inform them that Gavin Strachan was ‘a bit disappointed’ that Celtic couldn’t hold onto a one goal lead to salvage a win over Hibs.

Supporters are a lot more than a bit disappointed with the way that 2021 is turning out with the club apparently oblivious in a bubble of their own to a calamity of a season.

Barely past the half-way stage of the season Celtic have lost four consecutive home matches, crashed out of three cup competitions and trail by more than 20 points in the SPFL title that they comfortably retained last season.

Throw in a trip to Dubai that no-one inside the club seems capable of questioning and the picture of supporter discontent starts to emerge.

Strachan, John Kennedy and Scott Brown have been put in front of selected media outlets to justify the trip to Dubai with the club digging a deeper and deeper hole with the well of goodwill from supporters emptied with the exception of a small number determined to Keep The Faith.

Unless huge changes are in the pipeline the club is likely to be ‘a bit disappointed’ when they ask supporters to renew their Season Tickets for 2021/22.
