The mood among Celtic fans darkened further last night after The Sun reported a Vote of Confidence in Neil Lennon by Dermot Desmond.
While some fans will question the source of the story newspapers don’t mention Celtic’s largest shareholder without having the story and source secured. There can’t be any doubting that the story has been thoroughly checked out.
With Celtic’s season in tatters after the CEO approved a £35m spend it seems that there is no great concern from the club hierarchy.
At the first week in January Celtic are out of the Champions League, Europa League, Betfred Cup and trailing by 19 points in the SPFL having failed to score a goal in 180 minutes against the leaders, home and away.
Having answered the call with Season Ticket sales and splashed out on Adidas kit it seems that the thoughts of the fans are at the back of the queue but the clock is ticking down towards that ‘Season Ticket Renewal’ campaign which is central to the funding of the club.
With many fans feeling out of touch with the club and no genuine signs of supporters being able to attend matches again it will take an almighty charm offensive and almost certainly a new management team to ensure anything like the current numbers decide to buy in with the memories of 2020/21 certain to leave a deep scar in the minds of supporters.

Dermot Desmond thinks dominating possesion for 45 mins and drawing one amazing save in a defeat that sees us fall 19 points behind in January is now good enough for Celtic. Says it all.

Dermot Desmond only too happy to keep Neil Lennon in the job but it won’t be too long before it hits him in the pocket… won’t be too long.

@CelticFCSLO please pass on even just this one post to the board. How on earth is this allowed to continue?

Both of them should be leaving after allowing a bang average Rangers side to win the league.
