The Scottish Government has issued new travel advise for Dubai and back-dated a self-isolation to January 3.
Sky News reporter James Matthews has chosen to include Celtic in his tweet but since June 2019 elite athletes have been exempt from these rulings due to the regularity of testing that they undergo.
Celtic returned on Friday from a brief week’s training in Dubai with the visit attracting attention and comment from the Scottish Government and the First Minister.
Neil Lennon’s first team squad trained together at Lennoxtown this morning but in mid-afternoon it was announced that one player had tested positive and was self-isolating.
That is bound to have caught the attention of the Scottish Government with Celtic insisting that all protocols were followed throughout their training trip to Dubai.
