Celtic’s managerial review remains ‘ongoing’ according to Anthony Joseph.
The Sky Sports reporter seems to have decent contacts inside the club and is a regular invite onto the club’s Zoom Conference media calls.
On December 7 following fan protests at successive home matches Celtic were pushed into giving Neil Lennon their support but the statement did mention that the situation would be reviewed in the new year.
On the date they issued that statement, Celtic trailed leaders Rangers by 13 points, with two games in hand.
Lennon’s side are now 20 points behind, with two games in hand.

As the stats above underline Celtic are in a far worse position that when the statement was made with backing for Lennon down to a small rump of supporters.
The statement was made with Celtic having a favourable run of fixtures leading into the new year with the Scottish Cup and a Quadruple Treble secured alongside a run of four wins on the bounce in the SPFL.
January has seen a massive downturn in results with a number of recent events suggesting that there is a rift between Lennon and the Celtic board.
Monday’s explosive media conference in which he defended the Dubai trip and hit out at a number of targets ranging from Andy Walker to Scottish Government officials.
That interview never made it onto Celtic’s You Tube channel while the club has provided Sky Sports with interviews with Ryan Christie and Moi Elyounoussi despite Lennon stating on Monday that the broadcaster wouldn’t get access to any players until Walker issued an apology. No apology was given by the former Celtic striker.
