Owen Moffat has described it as a ‘dream come true’ to sign a new professional contract with Celtic.
The winger is following in the footsteps of Kieran Tierney, joining the club as an 8-year-old and working his way through the Academy ranks to sign pro.
It takes dedication to come through a decade of development but the hardest step is the final one- bridging the gap from under-age football into the first team ranks.

Moffat caught the eye in the recent Glasgow Cup tie against Partick Thistle at Firhill which Tommy McIntyre’s side won 4-0.
Stephen Welsh and Luca Connell featured in the match but other than that it was essentially an u-19 side although the Glasgow Cup rules allow for u-21 sides with two over-age players.
Celtic face their Ibrox rivals in the final of the tournament this month but go into the match having won a group match between the two clubs 3-0 at Dumbarton last month with Moffat a half time substitute for Mikey Johnston.
