Scott Brown will decide his future in talks with Neil Lennon and Peter Lawwell.

The midfielder’s current contract runs out in June, soon after he turns 36 with 14 years at Celtic in the bank.

After starting the season as a fixture in the Celtic side he has been replaced by Ismaila Soro in recent weeks although he did start and play for 105 minutes in the Scottish Cup Final win over Hearts.

After no departures last summer a big turnover is expected in June and July but the most senior player at the club has still to decide if he will remain for the changeover.

Brown told The Sun:

I’ve not exactly sat down and thought about it yet. We’ll just wait and see but if I’m still playing here in three, four, five months’ time, you never know.

I’m not thinking that far ahead. We have a huge game against Livingston coming up and we’re taking it one game at a time.

It’s not for everyone to worry about my situation – myself, the manager. and Peter Lawwell will sit down and sort that out together. Until that happens we’ll just concentrate on getting back to winning ways.

Brown was among 13 players forced to self isolate following the trip to Dubai but has been back in training over the last two days ahead of tonight’s match against Livingston.

Celtic’s midfield was relatively unaffected by the self isolation but with Brown and Ryan Christie back in the fold the team news at 7pm tonight is bound to make interesting reading.
