Celtic fans aren’t mellowing in their opposition to the club’s trip to Dubai despite a full week of being told about the hard work that has gone on in the sunshine of the Emirate.
The first news from the trip came on Sunday night when a picture appeared that showed Neil Lennon and Scott Brown enjoying a poolside drink while fans at home shivered and prepared for further Lockdown measures.
That image created the perfect storm on the back of a horrendous season to date, defeat in the Glasgow Derby and a complete breakdown in communications and trust with the club.
Four consecutive home defeats, an 8-2 aggregate from Sparta Prague and a Betfred Cup defeat from a team without a league win in two months tells the bare bones of the season to date.
In all of those circumstances it was the time to give Dubai a skip, the world in January 2021 is far different from January 2020 with fans now locked out of matches for almost 12 months.
Not even the greatest spin doctor could turn this situation around, after releasing a video interview with Neil Lennon last night it has been typed up and put on the club website.
The real action returns on Monday when Hibs visit Celtic, Lennon and his squad have a very demanding audience to turn around after all the hard work talk from Dubai.
And pleased about the non review from The Great Dictator Peter Jung un pic.twitter.com/CGh1h1yVHG

The news everyone want to hear is new manager in place and Peter Lawell gone. Until then, don’t waste our time

Nobody wants to read more from the manager x

Fans are paying hundreds of pounds to watch the game on a crappy stream at home. Can’t see family and friends and you find it ok to travel during a pandemic while having a shocking season so far! Total arrogance

That’s because his standards are rock bottom. Every single player has totally regressed under him
— Paul (@P__67) January 8, 2021
Neil Lennon.
The man who has regressed a squad from being 4×3 winners to being the second best team in Scotland and one that can’t get by the Eastern Europe play off zone for the champions league.
Knows the city but.
Thanks Peter.

Second half of the season is nothing more than dead rubber fixtures to prepare for next season. He shouldn’t be in charge for this.

Don’t release any statements unless it’s Neil sacked
— euan_cfc (@euan__cfc) January 8, 2021
Neil Lennon would be better served keeping his own counsel, winning matches and letting actions speak louder than his – frankly empty – words.

Celtic fans demand a smooth transition of power, please. Through the full club, PLC included.
