There weren’t too many highlights to choose from but Celtic TV managed to catch the full brilliance of David Turnbull’s goal against Aberdeen.
With Stephen Welsh returning the ball to Scott Bain the keeper quickly moved it on to Callum McGregor- what happened next few folk could have guessed at.
Celtic’s captain for the night purposefully gained 50 plus yards without appearing at full speed, Turnbull anticipated the move and knew exactly where to be and what to do.

From 25 yards out his low shot was out of reach for Joe Lewis as it found the back of the net. There won’t be many better worked goals this season, from one penalty box to the back of the net in 10 seconds.
It was Turnbull’s sixth goal in 16 SPFL starts, a very handy return that could have been more impressive if he hadn’t had to wait until mid-December to start his second Celtic match.
Turnbull, McGregor and possibly Ismaila Soro looks like a decent base for Celtic going forward but finding the other starters for next season is going to involve a lot of speculation.
