Sportscene pundits Shelley Kerr and James McFadden went out of their way to deflect from Kemar Roofe’s X-rated attack on Murray Davidson.
As they sat in the BBC studio the St Johnstone midfielder is facing a lengthy absence that will almost certainly see him miss the League Cup Final later this month against Livingston.
Kerr was until recently the national coach of the Scotland Women’s Team, an SFA employee. These days she seems to alternate between pundit work at the BBC and Rangers TV, much like Neil McCann who has been out of management since being sacked by Dundee in 2019.
Faddy was part of Alex McLeish’s coaching staff during his second stint as Scotland manager, during which Jason Cummings and Jamie Murphy picked up international caps. Since McLeish was sacked Faddy has been working extensively for BBC Scotland and Sky Sports.
‘I don’t think there’s any intent, but it turns out to be a little bit reckless’

What utter drivel from these two clowns. How this can possibly be construed as anything other than a dangerous tackle and straight red is absolutely mental. It’s a lunge and the player is off injured, what more would it take for them to say it’s a red?!

The Sportscene sofa is cringeworthy. Neither pundit offers anything over and above the banal

I can imagine their assessment wouldn’t have been so wishy-washy if the challenge had been made by a St Johnstone player.

The Billy Boys Channel don’t want to see further action?! Tragic patter aiding and abetting on fixed games. BTW the player is injured.
