Albian Ajeti has won his appeal against an SFA charge of simulation.

On Thursday the SFA offered the Celtic striker a two match suspension following the award of a penalty for Celtic in the 4-0 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

The incident was screened in detail by Sky Sports and BBC Scotland despite there being clear and obvious contact between Ajeti and Kilmarnock goalkeeper Colin Doyle.

Referee Kevin Clancy appeared to hesitate before consulting with his linesman then pointing to the penalty spot. Odsonne Edouard scored to put Celtic 2-0 in front with Ajeti scoring Celtic’s fourth goal.

Celtic appealed the decision allowing the striker to play against Motherwell at the weekend with Neil Lennon puzzled at the charge against his striker.

Ajeti will now be available to play against St Mirren tomorrow night as Celtic look to win their third consecutive match of 2021.
