The club from Ibrox have issued a statement amid Social Media rumours that some players may have been involved in an illegal gathering.

Whatever has been alleged must be of a serious nature to have forced the club into commenting after, barring one exception on the evening of Scot Arfield’s birthday party the Ibrox club have had an apparent clean bill of health in regards to sticking with football protocols.

Fortunately the SFA chose to ignore Steven Gerrard and Michael Beale car sharing on the first day of pre-season training and a full squad of untested players being used in a closed doors friendly against Dundee United.

At the start of November Jordan Jones and George Edmondson were caught and fined for attending a house party with the club alerted about the issue shortly before the good time boys attended training.

Mister Gerrard severely censured the duo with the SFA issuing seven match suspensions with a Hollyrood spokesperson praising the club for their swift action.
