At first glance Celtic’s second goal at St Johnstone was about the clinical finish of Odsonne Edouard.

Yes there was a very clever dummy from Ryan Christie as well but with the benefit of a camera behind the goal the full brilliance of the goal emerges with Edouard STARYING the move.

Picking up the ball midway inside the Saints half he slipped it to David Turnbull then set off towards the goal-mouth. The former Motherwell man created space, Christie stepped over the ball, Greg Taylor was on it quickly with Edouard waiting in front of goal to draw Zander Clark then stick the ball in the net.

Within five minutes a dangerous position after Shaun Rooney had opened the scoring had been turned around.

Christie and Taylor played their part but it needs a striker like Edouard to make all of the good work elsewhere worthwhile. With eight goals in seven matches this year the Frenchman looks close to top form again.
