With the connection issues cleared Celtic supporters were able to hear the views of Gordon Strachan on a 1-0 win over Aberdeen and where the club stands just now.

A rant over Odsonne Edouard and Ismaila Soro sharing a laugh was trademark Strachan as he showed his passion for the game and disconnect with the current generation of players.

As the hoops duo made their way into the dressing room there to meet them would be Gavin Strachan, whose Dad had just been ranting to Season Ticket holders.

Strachan Senior then went on to whitewash the club for the way that the season has collapsed with no trophies likely after winning 12 on the bounce.

At any level it has been a spectacular collapse, those inside the club appear to have shown little concern and made no effort to bring in change but the fans have been vociferous with the warning signs stretching back to the visit of Ferencvaros in August.

By the time October and November came around the team was in free-fall, an issue recognised by supporters but dismissed by the ‘custodians’.

Strachan Snr has real difficulties recognising genuine concerns from anyone outside his very limited football bubble. As a football manager you can get away with that, showing your disdain for the questions from the media and their audience.

As a pundit it’s not on. You are supposed to entertain and enlighten those looking in, even more so when most have paid £600 or so for a stream of dubious quality.

Finding some pundits that can relate to the issues and concerns of the fans (customers) isn’t easy but clearly having Strachan Snr lecturing isn’t the smartest move in engaging with your customer base.

Very soon Celtic will launch their Season Ticket Renewal campaign, perhaps it might be best to allow Strachan back to being Director of Football with Dundee as the charm switch is turned on full blast.
