Jason Cummings has compared himself to Paul Gascoigne and George Best believing that being a wacky character has put manager’s off giving him the dream move his ability deserves.

The 25-year-old has used Social Media extensively to share his laddish banter in a desperate bid to show what a character he is but on the pitch his career has been workmanlike on a good day.

Scoring a few goals for Hibs in the Championship gave him ideas well above his station, soon after handing him a four-year contract at Nottingham Forest Mark Warburton was sacked with Cummings about to enjoy loan spells at Ibrox, Peterborough, Luton and Shrewsbury that has added 14 league goals to his stats in the last four years.

Having his banter around the Changing Room didn’t impress the management at Shrewsbury who cut short this season’s deal with no goal celebrations from 11 appearances in League One.

Former Hibs team-mate James McPake has taken him to Dundee where he can share the bantz with Charlie Adam.
