Darryl Broadfoot will be in the spotlight tonight as the SFA find themselves in the midst of another crisis following the late withdrawal of Bobby Madden from the Ross County v Celtic match.

With less than three hours to kick-off The Sun announced that the match referee had been removed, later on the SFA issued a statement that raised more questions than deliver answers.

On Saturday Graeme Stewart was assistant referee at Hamilton v Hibs despite being told to self-isolate. It seemed that no-one at Easter Road was aware of that, no SFA official knew that he had been a close contact of David Roome following their weekend in Athens.

The same scenario was about to be played out at the Ross County v Celtic match until The Sun stepped in with the story.

Broadfoot is a former Communications Manager at the SFA, leaving for Frame PR who have a very close working relationship with the SFA.

At the core of every organisation is a Duty of Care, the SFA has a lot of explaining to do over their actions in the last week, issues that go way beyond football.
