Soon after getting the dubious joy of a Birthday Wish from Celtic’s Twitter Account Stevie Woods closed his own account.

With fans in open revolt over the unmitigated disaster of a season the last thing that you would want is a message from the club.

Engaging content seems to have been withdrawn with an unofficial policy of trying to fill Twitter with birthday wishes to retain some sort of online presence.

Woods has been largely absolved of blame for Celtic’s dramatic collapse as Neil Lennon rotates between Vasilis Barks, Scott Bain and Conor Hazard. During a run in January the keeper was changed in three successive matches.

The former Motherwell keeper has been Celtic’s goalkeeping coach for more than a decade with his stock held high thanks to the positive transformation in Fraser Forster and Craig Gordon on his watch.
