Celtic are reported to be one of four clubs interested in signing Sinisa Sanicanin.

The defender will be out of contract at Vojvodina in June with Universidad Craiova and Turkish sides Besiktas and Galatasaray also in the running.

It looks like there will be a big turnover of players at Celtic this summer with Chris Jullien, Kris Ajer and Stephen Welsh the only central defenders under contract.

The Norwegian will again be the subject of transfer speculation with reinforcements in that position likely to be a priority in the rebuild.

Sanicanin is in the final year of his four year Vojvodina contract, with eight international appearances his stock hasn’t been higher with no transfer fee involved in an end of season departure.

Turkish website Fanatik reports:

Although Universitatea Craiova from Romania is in charge for Sanicanin, it is stated that their job is not easy in the transfer. Because it is stated that Celtic, one of the Scottish Premier League teams, is insistent for the player, who is watched by Be?ikta? and Galatasaray.

Brexit and the implications for work permits could be an issue for Celtic to overcome with no clear guidance on how it effects Scottish clubs.

Last month Ben Davies appeared close to joining Celtic but on the second last day of the transfer window Liverpool moved in which ended the chances of a move north of the border.
