David Turnbull believes that Odsonne Edouard, Callum McGregor and Scott Brown are helping him take his game up a level.
Watching the former Motherwell midfielder in action a decent case could be made for claiming that the situation is mutual.
After scoring in six consecutive games Edouard had an off night against Aberdeen but the points were still delivered when Turnbull arrowed a low shot into the net after McGregor had made up 50 yards.
For extra insurance Brown came on for the last 20 minutes as Celtic saw it through to make it five wins on the bounce.
Turnbull has taken instantly to life at Celtic despite Lennon’s three month delay in bringing him into the side and was happy to explain to the Daily Record the benefits of playing alongside Edouard:
Yeah, he is world class. He is a great player to play with. I can link up well with him. You know he is going to do something magic or play a one-two with you. We are on the same wavelength. It is good playing with him
And I think I learn from the game intelligence of the older boys really – the Cals and the Broonys. They give you wee points and you learn off them every day on the training ground from what they do.
