Chris Jullien’s worrying video update

Almost two months after suffering knee ligament damage against Dundee United Chris Jullien is still wearing a brace and unable to walk freely.

Neil Lennon first put the likely absence at three to four months but that has been revised to six to nine months with no certainty that the defender will be available for the start of next season.

Looking at the video it really makes the decision to take Jullien to Dubai questionable. His recovery hasn’t been accelerated while a positive test result resulted in 13 players, Neil Lennon and John Kennedy having to self-isolate.

With Nir Bitton injured and Hatem Abd Exhumed sold Lennon has been left with just three central defenders with no additions coming in during the January transfer window.

Stephen Welsh and Kris Ajer are the current pairing but with the Norwegian expected to be the subject of transfer speculation and Shane Duffy returning to Brighton central defence looks like being a transfer priority in the summer.
