If the SFA watched Celtic’s match against Motherwell as closely as they watched the midweek win over Kilmarnock then Devente Cole can prepare to be cited for a two match suspension.
With the game in the closing minutes and his team chasing an equaliser the frustration got too much for the Fir Park forward as he tussled with Ismaila Soro for the ball.
While grounded Cole stretched out and back-heeled into the stomach of his opponent. It was close to the assistant referee but Nick Walsh decided that it was only worth a yellow card.
During the week the SFA decided to cite two players- Albian Ajeti and Kemar Roofe. The Celtic forward is accused of simulation that gained Celtic a penalty while the Ibrox star faces a violent conduct charge for an attack on Murray Davidson that referee David Munro felt was only worth a yellow.
A minute later Motherwell substitute Harry Smith was booked for elbowing Stephen Welsh, with a full compliment of players on the park the visitors almost equalised in stoppage time but were denied by a goal-line clearance from Diego Laxalt.

If Devante Cole’s challenge on Soro was committed by a Rangers or Celtic player the SFA would be having an emergency disciplinary meeting after the full time whistle. It wasn’t… so we’ll here nothing else of it, I guarantee it.

One of the subs has just saved 2 point but I’ve no idea how Rogic seen the game out and Bain is beyond poor. The kick on Soro is a red but not the arm on Welsh I don’t think. Should have been out of sight so prob due luck but defence still can’t cope with pressure
