Leicester City and Roma are reported to be leading the race to sign Odsonne Edouard in the summer with two other EPL clubs also keen on the striker.

The striker is under contract until June 2022 with Celtic having to cash in this summer rather than risk a contract being run down before he leaves as a free agent.

A fee of £20m has been quoted recently for Edouard and although that is way below his value 12 months ago it will be a buyers market in the summer as clubs adjust to a new a normal after a year of greatly reduced income.

The Sun reports:

BRENDAN Rodgers’ Leicester City and Serie A giants Roma are poised to start the bidding for Odsonne Edouard this summer, according to reports.

The Daily Mail also claims that Arsenal and Aston Villa could come to the table for the £20million striker if they deem the price to be right.

PSG will be due a chunk of any fee over the £9m that Celtic paid for Edouard in the summer of 2018 after a successful season on loan.

Hopes of a successful partnership with Moussa Dembele were ended when the former Fulham striker moved to Lyon, since then Edouard has virtually been on his own as Celtic striker.

Rodgers was heavily involved in bringing Edouard in on loan in 2017 but whether the striker will be prepared to play second fiddle to Jamie Vardy isn’t known.
