After rescuing Arsenal’s Europa League hopes with a 67th minute equaliser against Benfica last night Kieran Tierney had some important business to attend to.

Following a flight back to London from Athens the defender switched on his phone to watch John Kennedy’s first interview as Celtic’s Interim Manager and added his thoughts through Twitter.

Kennedy assisted Stevie Frail with the Celtic Development Team just as Tierney was emerging from the club Academy and was assistant to Ronny Deila when the teenager made his debut and breakthrough into the first team.

Watching from afar wouldn’t have dulled the pain for KT as Celtic’s hopes for 10-in-a-row crashed in ruins with Arsenal failing to build on last season’s FA Cup Final success.

Tierney’s goal against the Eagles of Lisbon in the 67th minute would have had a few Celtic fans nodding with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang heading the decisive goal in the 87th minute to edge through on a 4-3 aggregate.
