Celtic have confirmed the sale of Cameron Harper to RB New York.

The 19-year-old striker spent three years at Celtic, making one first team appearance in the post Dubai draw with Hibs when 13 players were self-isolating.

Like many teenagers the lack of any structure between u-18 and first team proved too big a gap to bridge through training sessions.

Pre Lockdown Celtic played in five Reserve Cup ties plus a couple of Glasgow Cup and Challenge Cup matches.

Keeping fit and motivated without having a weekend match to look forward to was a big ask with just haphazard loan moves available to emerging talents.

This season Tommy McIntyre’s squad have played two Glasgow Cup ties with no sign of any other competitive fixtures on the horizon.

Karamoko Dembele and Arnstrong Oko Flex are also out of contract at the end of those season with no suggestion that they are about to sign new deals although Conor Hazard did sign a two year contract in midweek.

During the January transfer window Hatem Abd Elhamed, Olivier Ntcham and Jeremie Frimpong left the club.
