Conor Hazard starts his first full international today with Northern Ireland hosting the United States in a friendly at Windsor Park.

The goalkeeper made a 20 minute appearance as a substitute for Trevor Carson in a 3-0 defeat from Costa Rica in 2018 and has been capped at every level up from u-16.

Hazard had to wait until December to make his Celtic debut, soon after appearing against Lille in the Europa League he saved two penalties against Hearts at Hampden to clinch the Scottish Cup and Quadruple Treble.

Hazard looked like he would be leaving Celtic but recently signed a two year contract although Scott Bain seems to have re-established himself as first choice with £4m AEK Athens signing Vasilis Barkas as deputy.

Northern Ireland lost their opening World Cup qualifier 2-0 to Italy in midweek with Bailey Peacock-Farrell in goals, on Wednesday they are at home to Bulgaria in a World Cup qualifier. Kyle Lafferty is captain for today’s match.
