Dom McKay was in France tonight for his final Six Nations match with the SRU but his timeline is filling up with Celtic fans looking for news about the round ball.
The workload for Celtic’s next CEO seems to be increasing by the week, since his appointment was announced the club has lost a manager, the SPFL title and a captain.
It remains to be seen whether McKay remains with the SRU though until the end of June but he won’t be in any doubt about the scale of the job he is about to take on.
The image of a well-run business has taken a battering this season with multiple changes required as Dermot Demond alluded to in midweek when he gave a rare interview with the Celtic website.
Finding a manager and almost certainly a Director of Football will be a priority before McKay can try to win around sceptical fans who have been left disappointed and at arm’s length by a disastrous season.
Retaining Season Ticket sales at 50,000 will require all of McKay’s marketing experience but if a winning team is on the pitch every other aspect of running the club becomes a little easier.
Should Roy Keane be the next Celtic manager

Don’t appoint Keane it would be a disaster. Get someone like Maresca or Howe.. the club needs football people not people’s love for the club. Please don’t hire Keane.
