After last night’s surprising Tweet Celtic’s Social Media team have fallen silent. Eighteen hours after shaking the Internet there hasn’t been a single tweet from the club.
Chris Sutton, Calum Waters and Fiacre Kelleher haven’t even been wished a Happy Birthday, Sutton is believed to be especially surprised and disappointed at being snubbed.
Time seems to be standing still on the club website. On Monday fans were offered a podcast with two players from the Ladies team, yesterday the only offering was a reminder that on 9 March 1965 a new manager arrived from Hibs. Despite Atalanta United announcing the signing of Andrew Gutman there has been no comment from Celtic who signed the defender two years ago.

Last night’s Tweet attracted 4,500 comments in 18 hours, the two previous tweets from the club brought in 91 replies.
There is no fixture this weekend but there seems a distinct lack of activity and communications around the club. Over at The Sun, former Celtic View reporter David Friel, who scooped the world with exclusive on Neil Lennon’s resignation has the news that Nir Bitton could be available for the Glasgow derby next weekend, if it goes ahead.
Should Celtic cancel their travel deal with Park's of Hamilton
Yes, what on earth are we waiting on
No, Peter says we are bigger than that
A year on from the last time that fans were in the ground there seems to be a growing disconnect throughout the club. There are no signs of ambition or suggestions towards next year.
In the digital age news is never more than a click on the PUBLISH button but after last night’s Tweet the club appears to have gone into hibernation.
