Chris Jullien isn’t trying to work his ticket into a move to Marseilles.
The defender was interviewed on French TV yesterday with the Daily Record coming up with a particularly imaginative translation of what was said.
Every footballer has their price, contracts are broken every transfer window, this summer Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and Kris Ajer could all leave Celtic.
Jullien could also leave the club but since he is under contract with Celtic until June 2023 and won’t play again until after the summer window closes he’s more likely that most to be at Celtic next season.
The extent of his injury is of more concern to Celtic fans than any possible transfer move. Over the last 12 months the Celtic defence has lost Jozo Simunovic, Jonny Hayes, Hatem Abd Elhamed and Jeremie Frimpong with no permanent replacements.
Ajer looks certain to attract offers this summer which leaves Stephen Welsh as just about the only defender for pre-season training with Jack Hendry and Greg Taylor hoping to be in the Scotland squad at the European Championships.
The Celtic France Twitter account has over 5,000 followers and has been providing reliable media coverage for a number of years.
Jullien doesn’t want to go to Marseille, the TV host has just imagined Jullien come back to France and asked him about that that’s all. Marseille isn’t even interested. @Record_Sport @markpirie

? @Chri6ViF : I suffered a injury in Sept, I came back for 6 weeks with the team, we won the Scottish Cup and achieved the Quadruple Treble which is historical for the club. We were already behind in the league at this time, and I couldn’t help my team due to my injury #SalonVIP

In Jan and Feb we didn’t get good results, It has hurt to see that.
We had lots of discussions with the coach and the group, from playing in front a full Celtic Park to closed doors didn’t help… it could have been a historic season, unfortunately we didn’t achieve that…— Celtic France (@Celtic_FR) March 17, 2021
He expect to be fully fit next Sept/Oct : « Next season we want to win everything, it’s non-negotiable at Celtic » ???????

« Scoring in the League Cup final was incredible. I have still chills speaking of. I celebrated my goal with my family in the stands. Our match wasn’t good, Fraser Forster was our hero this day, it was difficult. On social media some fans still remind me this game and this goal »
