Celtic fans were left completely underwhelmed by the news that Matt Smith will be involved in the Celtic TV Derby coverage on Sunday.
What special insight an English based neutral can bring to the show is hard to determine but then so are most decisions that Celtic have made this season.
While the club has moved to bring in Smith they currently have an Interim Manager and have to wait until July 1 when a new CEO takes over- a fortnight before the first Champions League qualifiers.
From Day One of this season Celtic TV has been dogged with ‘technical issues’ with a small and hard working technical team trying their best to keep pictures on screen.
Most matches see the pictures lagging 30 seconds or more behind which has often resulted in fans getting WhatsApp messages ahead of goals being scored.
In the last home match, against Aberdeen most fans were logged out for the first 10 minutes during which Odsonne Edouard scored the only goal of the game.
We are delighted to announce that Matt Smith will be joining us to host this weekend’s coverage of the Glasgow Derby on the @CelticFCPass.
We look forward to welcoming Matt to Celtic Park and once again we are urging all Celtic supporters to #StaySafe and #StayHome for the game.

Unbelievable.
Do the club get anything right?— Tambo Unchained ??????? (@ThomasTambo) March 15, 2021
So you paying him for Season Ticket Pass and paying others for Celtic TV…. this is ripping off fans. Celtic TV could have been made available domestically for a nominal fee !
