Steven Gerrard snubbed BT Sport by refusing to give a live post-match interview after his side lost 2-0 to Slavia Prague in the Europa League.
Before the match the Liverpool legend turned on the charm as he giggled through an interview with Emma Dodds but after his side lost out on a 3-1 aggregate he wasn’t so keen to explain a dismal display.
Without a red card in 32 SPFL matches from fawning Scottish officials Gerrard watched Kemar Roofe and Leon Balogun sent off by Israeli referee Oral Grinfeeld in a 15 minutes spell midway through the second half.
Had Grinfeeld been less lenient Balogun would have been sent off for a second yellow car just before half-time after he pulled the jersey of a Slavia forward inside the penalty box.
Last week Allan McGregor kept his side in the tie with a couple of impressive saves, tonight the veteran didn’t look too clever for either goal but the thoughts of his manager weren’t aired before BT Sport went off air at 10.30 with the insights of David Weir and Alan Hutton.
