Ibrox Covidiots have been urged to take a test after positive results soared in the wake of their George Square law-breaking.

Local residents were placed under almost house arrest as thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to a city landmark.

With Steven Gerrard leading the law-breaking by getting a friend to video his arrival at Ibrox followed by screaming out of the Dressing Room window the gullible seem to think that they were immune to a global pandemic.

Last week the first signs of rising positive results were recorded in parts of Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Ayrshire with that trend expected to continue this week.

The Daily Record reports:

Rangers fans who attended title celebrations in Glasgow have been told to get a coronavirus test after a number contracted coronavirus. Jillian Evans, head of health intelligence at NHS Grampian, said there may be a further increase in cases across the Glasgow area in the coming week after large crowds gathered in George Square and outside Ibrox.

The health chief also encouraged those who have spent time with people who were at the celebrations to be “vigilant” and book a covid test as well. Yesterday Chief Medical Officer Gregor Smith announced that a “small number” of supporters had returned positive tests following the title celebrations.

Speaking on Good Morning Scotland earlier today, Jillian said: “I think the advice would be if you were in that situation or part of those crowds, get tested. That would be an important thing you could do to try to minimise any further harm. We may still see the result of transmission in the coming week. I know the numbers in Greater Glasgow and Clyde did go up last week but it may be too soon to say whether that was the result of crowding in that situation.

No action has been taken against the Ibrox club by the football authorities or Scottish Government.
