Gonzagga makes huge claim to Celtic support

|

The Gonzagga Twitter account has promised Celtic fans that jam is around the corner.

With the season falling apart the Celtic board promised a managerial review at the start of December. In February Ian Bankier promised that there would be no hasty decisions made, a few weeks later Neil Lennon resigned.

As April approaches there is no sign of a replacement manager, the new CEO is on notice until July with the club captain announcing that next season he’ll be playing for Aberdeen. Season Ticket renewal time is fast approaching.

The largely dormant Gonzagga account sprung to life putting up an incredible defence of the Celtic hierarchy from the end of January onwards. Some Twitter detectives believe that the account may be very close to someone in Dermot Desmond’s family.

With each passing week the rebuilding job appears to get bigger, while the clock ticks down towards Champions League qualifiers in July. Despite a seeded slot Celtic have failed to reach the group stage in five of the last seven seasons.

Last week Desmond issued a bland Q and A on the club website, it will take some serious activity to get close to 50,000 Season Ticket holders signing up again after a disastrous term on and off the park.
