The Green Brigade has given their backing to the campaign led by The Celtic Trust for the club to issue shares to Season Ticket holders rather than a refund for a season spent watching Celtic TV.
Last summer Celtic changed the Terms and Conditions of the Season Ticket to exclude refunds after having to offer refunds when the 2019/20 season was curtailed.
There is absolutely no obligation on the club to make any offer to Season Ticket holders but after a disastrous term and the ‘Renewal’ campaign due to get underway some goodwill would go a long way.
The Celtic Trust appear to have regular meetings with the hierarchy of the club but whether there is a genuine dialogue going on or a box-ticking exercise in fan engagement is open to debate.
Over the course of this season the Trust has reported a surge in membership but their shareholding remains very minor although their Social Media platforms are certainly raising awareness.

THREAD: The Celtic Trust calls for a louder voice for fans in the running of the club.
Our share proposal for STHs would represent a positive step towards greater fan engagement.

Secondly, we acknowledge the T+Cs were changed by the club this season, and don’t wish to pursue a legal argument. We are of the belief that there is a moral duty on the board to repay the fans. Given your accusations, we won’t continue this discussion if insults are forthcoming.
