They always get told to make the most of those precious playing days.

When you are involved in the Champions League or scoring the winner in the Glasgow derby it must seem like the good days are never ending.

At the start of Celtic’s second 9-in-a-row win Mark Wilson captained the side to a win over Hibs at Easter Road.

As he gathered his team-mates into the Huddle he’d probably have laughed off the idea of forming a partnership with Gordon Dalziel and making corny adverts for a radio station.

Listen through to the very end.

After a couple of dabbles in management at Airdrie United and Brechin City it looks like media work is the immediate future for Wilson who signed for Celtic in the January 2006 transfer window that brought Roy Keane to the club.

Wilson had concerns about his Celtic medical but got through that obstacle although his career was dogged by knee injuries, forcing him to retire at the age of 32 after a stint at Dumbarton.

There may be more dodgy voiceovers to come in the future but that classic 1-2 with Sasa Papac will never be forgotten whenever Celtic fans are asked for a Mark Wilson memory.
