Stewart Robertson has issued a typically angry statement following last night’s events at Ibrox but ignored the alleged attack on Slavia’s Ondrej Kudela after the final whistle.

Slavia Prague were furious at the incident which they claim was carried out in front of Steven Gerrard and UEFA officials.

It followed a stormy clash at Ibrox in which a non-Scottish referee sent off Kemar Roofe and Leon Baalogun as the home side crashed out of the Europa League on a night of shame.

Roofe could be looking at a long term ban for his studs-in-face assault on Kolar with Ibrox chief Robertson stating:

We note the injury sustained by Ondrej Kolar during an accidental collision last night. Our Club Doctor treated the player and we hope he has a speedy recovery. We wish the club well in the next round of the Europa League. There will be no further comment until we receive a response from UEFA.

In the early hours of this morning Slavia issued a statement claiming:

After the end of the game, the team was not allowed to enter the dressing room. Ondrej Kudela was assaulted by player Kamara and hit with fists in the head when Rangers manager Steven Gerrard witnessed the incident. Even the UEFA representatives who were also present on the site of the incident were shocked by this behaviour.

Robertson’s statement made no reference to the alleged attack on Kudela.
